Friday, August 01, 2008 RDCC 6 gets 2.5M worth of meds and relief goods
THE Regional Director Coordinating Council 6 (RDCC) received Wednesday a donation of about 2.5 million worth of medicines, nutritional products and relief goods from PHAPCares Foundation Inc. and Sanofi Aventis.
The goods were delivered by Emerson Querimit, PHAPCares Foundation Inc. Medicine Donations Officer, and Cheryl Serrano, Sanofi Aventis Corporate Affairs Manager, at the office of the Civil Defense, Camp Martin Delgado, Fort San Pedro, Iloilo City.
Querimit and Serrano said the donations were intended for the victims of typhoon Frank in Western Visayas.
Present during the turnover were Iloilo Governor Niel Tupas, OCD VI Director Rosario Cabrera and the Police Regional Office Director and RDCC Chairman, Police Superintendent Isagani R Cuevas.
Cuevas thanked the PHAPCares Foundation Inc. and the Sanofi Aventis for the support to victims of the typhoon. (JC Rio)
