THE Philippine Military Academy (PMA) will be conducting an entrance examination this Sunday, 7 a.m. at the Central Philippine University (CPU).

Applicants should also be of good moral character and must be physically fit.

They also must be single and never been married, and at least 5 feet and 4 inches for male and 5 feet and 2 inches for women.

The applicants need to bring with them the following: birth certificate, two identification cards, two ID pictures, pencil, and high school card.

Director for Search and Evaluation Center in PMA, Commander Orvil Piol, said that they would accommodate walk-in applicants provided that they have brought with them all the stated requirements.

Fourth year high school students with the age of 17 will also be accepted should they bring their latest form 137.

The entrance examination is for free.

The examination covers questions on abstract, Mathematics, English and reading comprehension.

Piol said 167 Ilonggos have applied through the Internet but more applicants are expected on Sunday.

He also said they are expecting around 6,000 applicants nationwide but would only get 350 to 400 applicants 10 percent of which would be females.

Piol added that once an applicant passes all the examinations-written and physical, training and study for four years commence.

"The PMA would cloth them and would give each of them P16,000 per month while studying. After the study, the students would have the right to choose the government agency they would want to join-either the PNP, AFP or the Air Force," Piol said.

He said: "Joining the PMA is an opportunity for the youngsters especially for the Ilonggos to be the next generals following the path of the many Ilonggos who are now high ranking and respected officials."
