Tuesday, September 23, 2008 Bet collectors arrested
THE elements of Task Group anti-Illegal Gambling led by Senior Inspector Dande B. Deocampo arrested Sunday two bet collectors for illegal gambling at Lopez Jaena Street, Jaro, Iloilo City.
Geraline Lunaba, 31, married and a resident of sitio Ilaya, Barangay Tabuc Suba, Jaro, Iloilo City was caught on the act of soliciting bets from some bettors at said place for the illegal numbers game of first two and daily double.
His cohort, Randy Sonizo, who was caught of receiving all the collections from Lunaba, was also arrested in the process.
Recovered from their possession and control were assorted list with bet numbers for said illegal numbers game and bet money of P856 in different denominations.
Sonizo is now detained at Police Station 3, while Lunaba is at Iloilo City District Jail pending proper filing of criminal charge in court against them. (ICPO-PIO)
