LT happy over show's growing success
LORNA Tolentino nowadays wears a grin from ear to ear following the growing success of her soap program "Kay Tagal Kitang Hinintay."
LT, as she is fondly called by friends, said she had long wanted to do a teleserye similar to the soap programs she enjoys watching and did not think twice when ABS CBN offered her the lead role in "Kay Tagal..."
The wife of action star Rudy Fernandez said she had once regretted her decision to decline the soap "Pangako Sa'Yo" starring rumored sweethearts Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa and immediately grabbed at the chance when she was offered another show.
Lorna was initially offered the role of Amor Powers, the role that went to Eula Valdez and help bolster her television career, but had to give it up to concentrate in helping Rudy's political career.
Daboy (Rudy's nickname) was then running for the mayoralty post in Quezon City and LT was helping him in the campaign. He eventually lost and concentrated on his own tv career via several sitcoms in another tv network.
Aside from LT, "Kay Tagal..." also stars John Estrada, Rica Peralejo and Aurora Sevilla among others. Kudos and congratulations to the stars and production staff of "Kay Tagal.." for their growing success. |
