Has Goma lost his charm? By Arianne Blanche M. Ramirez
Mayor Rey Malonzo's movie "Operation Balikatan" has already been bought by HBO and Cinemax.
Its English title will be "When Eagles Strike."
"Balikatan" competed against other Filipino movies in the "Manila Film Festival 2003" and director Cirio Santiago was even positively sure that Malonzo would get the Best Actor award.
Why?
Because, according to Santiago, it's not easy to act with English dialogues.
We all know now that the best actor trophy went to Jay Manalo.

I hope people won't get their hopes too high with this movie though, as I recently saw the cheesiest movie on HBO.
The movie entitled "The Red Squad" was about an investigator who got worried because serial killers weren't killing as much as before. He then found out that there's a serial killer-killer and so he hunted the killer to protect the serial killers.
See how stupid the movies there are?
If I were Malonzo, I'd concentrate on doing my responsibilities as mayor and stop making cheesy B-movies.

Jolina Magdangal said she wants to do a movie that would team her up again with Marvin Agustin.
According to her, they had a blast before and she misses their rapport.
Hmm... Why not?
They do have a very good chemistry on screen.

Richard Gomez doesn't believe that Ai Ai's movie "Ang Tanging Ina" made P13M on its first day.
Because of this, he had quite an argument with Jobert Sucaldito.
At the end of it though, it was discovered that the two just had a misunderstanding.
Richard thought the P13M was for Metro Manila alone, which Jobert corrected by explaining that the P13M came from 100-plus theaters all over the Philippines.
What's Richard's problem, anyway?
Why is it that he has to stick his nose in almost every issue that doesn't even include him?
Or was he just sour-graping because his movie with Sharon Cuneta didn't make as much as Ai Ai's movie?
Well, he can deny it if he wants but this fact still remains: He has lost his charm and no amount of cutesy cheesy movies can save him!!!

Long Mejia and Dagul are reunited!
After leaving GMA-7, the Long and the Short are reunited in ABS-CBN's MTB.
And their assignment? To replace Willie Revillame and John Estrada!
Delicious!
