Lakas Muslims solid amid Pidal exposé: Datumanong
By Benjamin B. Pulta

THE administration Lakas Christian-Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) remains solid despite the raging Jose Pidal controversy.

Lakas vice president for Mindanao and Justice Secretary Simeon Datumanong said the organization is not swayed by the controversy involving the First Family.

Datumanong said Lakas will be the party to beat in the 2004 presidential elections despite the exposé by Senator Panfilo M. Lacson.

"We are not affected by the controversy. I still believe that Lakas will still be the prevailing party for the upcoming 2004 elections," Datumanong said.

Datumanong said his party will hold a general assembly to deal with the differences among party members.
