Epson launches new products

EPSON Philippines Corporation has recently launched three new printers and a scanner to their product line.

The new printers that was launched were the Epson Stylus C63, Epson Stylus C83, and the all in one printer, scanner, copier Epson Stylus CX5300.

The Epson Stylus C63 is targeted for home and small office use and can print up to 17 pages per minute (ppm) for black text and 9 ppm for color prints. It
is priced at P3,995

On the other hand, the Epson Stylus C83 is targeted for the business office and the discerning photographer and can print up to 22 ppm for black prints and 12 ppm for color prints. It costs P8,995.

Both printers are bundled with PhotoQuicker 3.4 and Print Image Framer software and offers dual USB and parallel ports that allows plug and play compatibility with Windows and Macintosh based computers.

The all in one printer/scanner/copier Epson Stylus CX5300 is designed to deliver photo-quality printouts and a new preferred color mode reproduces consistent colors even on plain paper.

The CX5300 is capable of an optical resolution of up to 1200x2400 dpi and features Epson CCD technology that produces scanned images with superior depth and true to life color accuracy.

The all-in-one wonder can also function as a PC-less copier. It has a copying speed of up to 15 copies per minute for black text. Users can choose from three copy modes and offers a border free printout.

The printers will be using the new Epson INKdividual cartridges. The INKdividual cartridges allows the users to change only the ink cartridge that has run out. This improves ink yield while ensuring minimal wastage.

Each cartridge is filled with DURAbrite ink, a pigment based ink that is quick drying and does not bleed, smudge or feather even on plain paper. Using DURAbrite ink, printouts are fade-resistant and also water resistant.

The Epson Perfection 1670 Photo is an ideal print, film and photo scanner for the home user who demands high quality scanning at a reasonable price.

The scanner is capable of 1600 dpi scanning resolution that not only ensures the high quality of stored images but also brings scanning to a new level with
its patented Matrix Charged Coupled Devices (CCD) and On-Chip Micro Lens structure.

The scanner and the all in one CX5300 comes with the new Epson Scan driver that helps restore old photographs. The driver's Color Restoration feature allows faded or discolored photos to be restored while its Dust Removal feature automatically detects and removes "white spots caused by dust specs found on old film.

The Epson Perfection 1670 Photo scanner supports USB 2.0 interface and is compatible with Windows and Macintosh based computers. It is offered at a
suggested retail price of P9,495. Miko Santos
