Recipe of the Day: Curry Rice
Chicken curry flavored rice.
Ingredients:
2 cups long grain rice, uncooked
2 tbsp. cooking oil
2 7g. packs MAGGI Flavor-It Meat Powder Chicken
2 cups water
1 200 g. pack coconut milk powder*
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. curry powder
1 cup carrots, cubed
Preparation:
1. Soak rice in water for about 30 minutes. Drain well.
2. Heat oil and sauté rice and MAGGI Flavor-it for 3 minutes.
3. In a small bowl combine water and coconut milk powder. Pour into rice.
4. Add in rest of the ingredients. Mix well.
5. Over low fire, cook rice for about 1 hour 27 minutes or until rice is done. Stir every 10 minutes.
Cook Notes:
You may use 2 cups of coconut milk in place of water and coconut milk powder.
