Another kidnapper falls
The National Anti-kidnapping Task Force (Naktaf) announced Thursday the arrest of another of the country's most wanted kidnappers.
Naktaf agents arrested alleged kidnapper Antonio "Tony" Castro of the
Fajardo kidnap-for-ransom group in Barangay 2, Poblacion Alaminos, Laguna, at around 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Castro, who carried a P1-million bounty, was put under the custody of the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (Isafp).
Last Monday, Joe Lim "Jack" Arnuco, the seventh most wanted kidnapper in the country, was arrested in Iloilo City.
Allan Niegas, the fourth on Naktaf's most wanted list, and Vilmor Catamco who was the fifth most wanted, were arrested earlier this month.
Naktaf's most wanted kidnap gang leader, Dr. Roberto Obeles Yap, was killed in an encounter with authorities last Nov. 20 in Dinalupihan, Bataan.
Of the original top ten kidnappers, the following remain at large - Harold Fajardo (Fajardo kidnap-for-ransom gang, P1 million reward for his capture), Rolando Fajardo (Fajardo gang, P1 million bounty), Dr. Elly Trinidad (affiliated with Fajardo gang, P850,000), Reynaldo Cancho (Estrada gang, P500,000), Feliciano Laygo (Feliciano-Laygo gang, P500,000), and Jaime Moog (Feliciano-Laygo gang, P500,000).
The Naktaf recently released the identities of 14 more kidnapping suspects.
They were identified as PO2 Allan Estrada, Teddy Padre, Neil Cutad, Romeo Puria, Felizardo Pagulayan, Ronnie Tan, More Panday, Ambrudin Maracarilang, Ronald Roilan, Pecasiano Tagle, Joel Bunales, Sergio Panday, Mario Valerio and Arnel Suellen.
