American multi-ethnic rap crew, Black Eyed Peas, nominated for the Favourite Pop Act category, will be there to dazzle the fans with their energetic hip-hop stance come February. Black Eyed Peas was formed in Los Angeles with an aim to unite musical communities by serving up radio-friendly tunes while maintaining their hardcore integrity. They have always flaunted a passionate, energetic hip-hop spirit that people have always been drawn to. To date, they have earned fans worldwide with their inventive approach to hip-hop music, inspiring people with loose rhymes, and a positive spirit that continues to motivate.

Blue - Favourite Pop Act for the 2003 MTV Asia Awards, is no stranger in Asia. After a spectacular collaborative performance with Asian artists of “One Love” at the awards last year, they return this year as nominees for the Favourite Pop Act category for the second year running. The four London lads will definitely be making their presence felt and the temperature continues to rise with them at the awards.

Gifted with the voice of an angel and model looks that are every photographer’s dream, Gareth Gates, Favourite Male Artist nominee, first rose to fame in the top-rated U.K TV show Pop Idol where he battled thousands of pop hopefuls. Gareth made a phenomenon attack on the pop charts with his debut single "Unchained Melody", setting him a record as the youngest British male artist to have a No. 1 single. Gareth’s single, "Anyone One Of Us (Stupid Mistake)" has earned him a place as a nominee for the Favourite Male Artist category for the coming MTV Asia Awards. Armed with his boyish charm, vocal talent and latest album entitled Say It Isn’t So, he will no doubt have massive fans swooning over him.

Touted as one of the biggest and most respected pop acts in the United Kingdom, Liberty X has been branded the band with the X factor.
