Recipe of the Day: One-Pot Lunch
A very hearty, down-to-earth dish that’s perfect for lunch or dinner.
Ingredients:
2 tbsp. cooking oil
1/2 kg. pork liempo, cut into cubes
2 medium onions, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
salt and pepper to taste
2 tsp. MAGGI Savor
2 big tomatoes, seeded & chopped
1 piece MAGGI Pork Broth Cube, crushed
1/4 cup cooking wine (optional)
1 1/2 cups water
1 cup long grain rice, washed
1/2 cup parsley, chopped
Preparation:
1. Heat oil; add pork and pan-fry until brown. Add onion and garlic; sauté until softened. Stir in seasonings, tomatoes, MAGGI Pork Broth Cube, wine and 1 1/2 cups water.
2. Add rice and bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer about 20 min. more or just until rice is cooked.
3. Stir in parsley; continue cooking until rice is cooked. Serve right away.
