INTELLIGENCE agents of the government are validating reports some members of the Jakarta-based Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) terror group are now in Metro Manila and operating within the metropolis.
National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (Nica) chief Victor Mayo, however, said despite the latest report, intelligence authorities are confident that the bulk of JI operatives, who trained in Mindanao, have already left the country.

2 of 93 missing fishermen confirmed dead
THE bodies of two fishermen have been found Sunday, it was learned from the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG). A body washed up on the shore of Ilocos Norte province while another body was picked up along with five survivors by a passing cargo boat, the Coast Guard said.
