ABS-CBN inks partnership with CMFR

ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation's News and Current Affairs Group solidified its commitment to ethics and high standards in broadcasting and communication recently with a memorandum of agreement signed with the Center for Media Freedom and Responsibility.

The MOA, signed by ABS-CBN's Ricardo V. Puno Jr., Senior Vice President for ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs Group (NCAG), and Ms. Melinda Quintos de Jesus, Executive Director of the Center for Media Freedom and Responsibility, is for an independent evaluation of NCAG programs and the consolidation and codification of all current and proposed editorial guidelines and policies into a single unified manual.

This agreement is yet another step towards strengthening responsibility and credibility in broadcasting which ABS-CBN has spearheaded in the service of the Filipino.

Also in attendance were (standing, from left) Gin de Mesa-Laranas, NCAG Director of Strategy and Planning; Luchi Cruz-Valdes, Vice President for News Operations; Gen. Estonilo-Reyes, Assistant Vice President for News Programs; and Jake Maderazo, Vice President for News Production.
