MALACANANG on Friday said it is open to having a fixed term of three years for the Armed Forces chief of staff.

"Nararapat na pag-aralan ang ganitong panukala. Mayroon ding merit ang ganitong panukala (It is but right to study the proposal. The proposal has merit) and it deserves consideration," Presidential spokesman Ignacio Bunye said.
