Actor sued for fraud

FRAUD charges were filed against actor Philip Salvador before the Makati City Prosecutor's Office following a complaint from the moviestar's ex-lover.

In a 15-page consolidated resolution, Makati prosecutors handling the case dismissed the estafa charge against Philip's brother Ramon and the falsification charges filed by the Salvadors against their accuser, Cristina Decena.

The indictment was signed by Assistant City Prosecutor Josefa D. Laurente and City Prosecutor Feliciano Aspi, which also downgraded the original case of estafa to the lesser crime of "other deceits".

Decena filed estafa charges against Salvador for allegedly conspiring with Ramon in the alleged anomalous sale of a condominium unit located at 14-B, Pinnacle Condominium in Wack Wack, Mandaluyong City, for P15,000,000.

The sale of the property was signed by the Special Power of Attorney executed by TV personality Kris Aquino authorizing Salvador to sell the unit.

Salvador however failed to deliver the condominium unit and instead guaranteed and promised to return the money by presenting different agreements executed by his brother, Ramon Salvador with three prominent movie producers. (Benjamin B. Pulta)
