Warner Music releases All-Star Christmas collection
NO ALBUM will get you ready for the holidays like Warner Music's "All Star Christmas Collection", a toasty album that lets 11 hot OPM (Original Pinoy Myusic) pop talents, including acoustic pioneer Paolo Santos, soul siren Nina, hip-hop's fantastic four Dice&K9, and romantic crooner Christian Bautista, rework classic and contemporary carols into the Christmas songs of today.
Fans of such staple Christmas fare such as Bing Crosby's "I'll Be Home for Christmas" and Nat King Cole's "The Christmas Song" (chestnuts roasting) will be happily surprised by Side A and Nina's respective covers.
Newcomer Joyce even does her own rendition of Judy Garland's original "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," while neo-soul artist Artstrong spices up the playful ditty "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" with his hip-hop skills. Of course, it will be a very awe-inspiring and "Silent Night" when you hear Christian Bautista's version of this solemn favorite.
Even the more recent Christmas songs get a facelift on the "All Star Christmas Collection". Paolo Santos chose to add his signature acoustic style to Vertical Horizon's "The Man Who Would Be Santa," while pop rock princess Kitchie Nadal does a take on The Carpenter's "Merry Christmas Darling." Seasoned live performer Pido's mellow touch adds charm to his idol, Kenny Loggin's "On Christmas Morning," and even Dice&K9 brings the 80s Christmas hit "Last Christmas" by Wham! forward with their very own rhymes and beats.
The "All Star Christmas Collection" by Warner Music is a hip and eclectic holiday album that's a must have in any Christmas stocking. Grab one now at the affordable price of P280 at all leading music stores and record bars. (PR)
