RP-Korea business forum set November 8
THE first Philippines-Korea Business Forum will be held on Monday at the Grand Ballroom of the Intercontinental Hotel in Makati City.
This forum, which will start at 9 a.m., is spearheaded by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and the Korean Chamber of Commerce Philippines (KCCP). It will have the theme "Philippines and Korea: Teaming for
Progress."
Coinciding with the forum is the 20th annual meeting of the Philippines-Korea Economic Council (Philkorec) and the Korea-Philippines Economic Council (Korphilec).
In line with the economic agenda of President Arroyo, the event shall focus on major issues that aim to promote and stimulate economic activities namely, Free Trade Agreement, Information Technology/Venture Capital, Education, Regular and
Medical Tourism and Understanding Philippine-Korean Culture.
House Speaker Jose de Venecia will be the guest of honor and speaker during the forum. Also invited is Economic Planning Secretary Romulo Neri, who will talk about issues and opportunities between the Philippines and Korea.
Aside from plenary sessions, the forum will also feature business one-on-one activities to enable participants to expand their network of contacts and forge business partnerships.
The business forum expects 300 high-level Philippine and Korean businessmen to participate in the activity. (PR)
