PNP Chief Edgar Aglipay ordered Wednesday the relief of Central Luzon Police Director Quirino dela Torre and Tarlac Provincial Police Chief Angelo Sumlao following the violent dispersal at the Hacienda Luisita in Tarlac City last Tuesday, where 14 laborers were killed and several others were wounded.
Aglipay said Chief Superintendent dela Torre will be replaced by Chief Superintendent Enrique Galang while Senior Superintendent Sumlao's post will be taken over by Senior Supt. Ager Ontog from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
