Long Mejia's untold story on 'Maalaala Mo Kaya'
WE KNOW and love him as a quick-witted comedian, a man to whom the Comedy King Dolphy had once paid the highest compliment by calling him one of the best on-screen partners he has ever had. But behind the laughter and the mask of the funnyman, there is a secret that Long Mejia has never told...until now.
On Thursday, Long returns to the show that brought him the Best Actor in a Drama award from the 2004 KBP Golden Dove Awards, as he tells his long-untold story to ABS-CBN's "Maalaala Mo Kaya".
A reunion is also on hand for this very special episode as Long works anew with director Cathy Garcia-Molina, who directed him in his award-winning role as Rene Requiestas in "Maalaala Mo Kaya" a more than year ago. This time, Long is working from a script by acclaimed scribe Dado Lumibao as well as co-stars like Lotlot de Leon and G Tongi, in a dramatization of the private struggles he underwent as, ironically, his star began to rise. How did fame change Long? How did it affect his relationship with his wife and children? And what happens when a beautiful woman enters his life and he realizes he is powerless to resist her?
Join Long as he reveals the real story of his life Thursday only on ABS-CBN's "Maalaala Mo Kaya". (PR)
