'Maalaala Mo Kaya' airs romantic summer special shot in Bohol
ABS-CBN's "Maalaala Mo Kaya" brings romance into the late summer as it features Thursday a very unique love story of two people whose lives experience a strange reversal of fortunes. Featuring Angelika dela Cruz and Marvin Agustin in an episode directed by Joyce Bernal and written by Arlene Tamayo, the episode features not just a very engaging love story but also amazing sights as "Maalaala Mo Kaya" pulled out all the stops to shoot on location in Bohol province, including the beautiful Alona beach in Panglao, Bohol.
The episode's centers on the story of Nila (Angelika dela Cruz), a dirt-poor young woman who has just gotten into town to look for any kind of work she could get. Eventually, she gets a job as a housemaid, working for a rich family. She soon attracts the attentions of Frank (Marvin Agustin), the town playboy, who lives next door. Soon, sparks fly between the plucky young housemaid and the charming neighbor but when Frank suddenly gets forced to grow up, get a job overseas and save his family from their debts, will Nila be left out in the cold?
Will the heartbreak of losing Frank hurt Nila or force her to persevere even more? And what happens when Frank comes back to start his entire life over in Bohol - and finds that his and Nila's positions are now reversed?
See the beautiful sights of Bohol province as Charo Santos-Concio hosts a very special summer special edition of "Maalaala Mo Kaya". (PR)
