Hotel chain picked top choice by Conde Nast Traveler

HONG KONG -- Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has been recognized as one of the top global luxury hotel companies in the annual Reader's Choice Awards of Conde Nast Traveler, UK. The group was awarded eight accolades, including winning three categories outright. This amounted to more than any other hotel company.

Mandarin Oriental won the following awards:

* Best UK Leisure Hotel - Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park

* Best Overseas Leisure Hotel: The Americas and The Caribbean - Mandarin Oriental, Miami

* Best Overseas Hotel Spa - The Oriental Spa, The Oriental Bangkok

The Spa of the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park was a runner-up in the Best UK Hotel Spa

Readers of Conde Nast Traveler also voted The Oriental, Singapore, Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong and Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur as third, fourth and ninth, respectively, in the "Best Overseas Business Hotel" category.

The Oriental, Bangkok was third in the "Overseas Leisure Hotels, Asia and the Indian Subcontinent" category.
