‘Calla Lily’ reunites winning ‘Anghel’ team
AFTER making millions of people fall in love with the adventures of a group of street children in “Mga Anghel Na Walang Langit”, ABS-CBN again brings together directors Maryo J. delos Reyes and Lino Cayetano, writers Agnes Gagilonia-Uligan, Aloy Adlawan and Michiko Yamamoto, and stars Sharleen San Pedro and Johnny Delgado for the network’s newest teleserye “Calla Lily”.
“Calla Lily” also features Ana Roces, Gerald Madrid, Evangeline Pascual, Baron Geisler, Rodjun Cruz, Erich Gonzales, and Yul Servo.
Incredible adventure and touching drama are in store in “Calla Lily”, the story of twin sisters Calla and Lily, both played by Sharleen San Pedro. Growing up in a small fishing village in Batangas, Calla is as outspoken and pilya as Lily is timid and shy, but both girls thrive under the loving care of their dad Dodie (Gerald Madrid), while their mother Sari (Ana Roces) finishes her work contract in Taiwan.
Things change, however, when Sari comes home to her family harboring a terrible secret – that she had a one-night affair with Ramil (Yul Servo), a Filipino businessman she met in Taiwan. Hoping to put all that behind, her, Sari returns to her husband and kids, and things turn out okay, until Ramil follows her home to try and win her back. With Sari’s father Edong (Johnny Delgado) and mother Liza (Evangeline Pascual) discreetly hoping that Sari will break up with Dodie to go with Ramil, it is only a matter of time before Sari’s secret is exposed. Soon, Dodie and Sari are fighting, and even Calla and Lily are taking sides. But nobody expects what happens one fatal night when a drunk Dodie takes Edong’s boat to sea. Lily follows him…at the same time a storm hits the village. The next morning, only Dodie shows up on the shore. What happens to Lily? How will Sari and Calla react to Dodie’s mistake? And will Calla, Lily, and their small family ever be united again?
Also on hand for this touching and unforgettable teleserye are Luz Valdez, Lou Veloso, Lauren Novero, Myla Boyd, Scarlet, Angel Sy, Pewee O’Hara, Hazel Espinosa, Raquel Montessa, Soliman Cruz, Cloyd Robinson, Niña Manalo, Paolo Ramirez, and Jam Melendez. (PR/ABS-CBN/Sunnex)
