Cool Nest darts series kicks off
METRO Manila and nearby provincial darters will celebrate "Araw Ng Maynila" by joining the inaugural leg of the Cool Nest Darts Series (CNDS) 2006 on Saturday at Manila's newest Darts venue, the Cool Nest Bar and Restaurant along Taft Avenue (near La Salle Univerity).
The tournament, a classified doubles (draw) shootout, will also serve as a tune-up for darters who are now in the thick of preparations for the forthcoming Darts Council of the Philippines (DCP) ranking and rating events - the San Carlos Open Darts championship in Negros Occidental set on July 1 and 2, and the Philmasters Darts Championship 2006 in Baguio City on July 28 to 30.
CNDS 2006 plays killers-01-choice/ 701 double knockout. Entry fee is P150 per player. Welcome drinks will be given to the first 64 registrants. Registration begins at 7 p.m. and the games commence at 9:15 p.m.
Venue owner Lito Ruiz provides the P12,000 prize money plus trophies while Terton Craft and Harrows Darts Technology will give away dart boards and darts accessories as raffle prizes.
