Roderick Paulate, Aiza Seguerra return to 'MMK'
IN 2000, Roderick Paulate won the Asian TV Award for Best Drama Performance by an Actor with his role in the "Maalaala Mo Kaya" episode "Wristwatch." In 2002, Aiza Seguerra won the Asian TV Award for Best Drama Performance by an Actress for her role opposite her former child-star rival Matet de Leon in the "Maalaala Mo Kaya" episode "Songbook."
This Friday, "Maalaala Mo Kaya" welcomes back both acclaimed performers in what seems to be another dramatic must-see, in the love story between a gay man and a gay woman.
In this remarkable episode, written by Maribel Ilag and directed by Jeffrey Jeturian, Roderick and Aiza play Bundang and Baduday, two neighbors who find themselves increasingly becoming closer despite a disastrous first meeting. But even their closeness is a problem, because Bundang is a gay "parlorista," complete with bagets boyfriend Lennon (Zeppi Borromeo), while Baduday is a tomboy barangay tanod in a relationship with a comely girl (Eunice Lagusad).
It seems that fate really wants Bundang and Baduday together, however, as Baduday soon finds herself pregnant with Bundang's baby. But what kind of family will this unconventional couple make? And will the fact that he would rather be a girl, and that she would rather be a boy, bar them from ever being happy together?
Cris Villanueva and Kris Martinez complete the cast of this unforgettable episode, hosted by Charo Santos-Concio and airing this Friday, August 11 only on ABS-CBN.
