Trade Secretary Peter Favila is the guest of honor and keynote speaker. The business conference will showcase various plenary sessions with distinguished authorities in their own fields to discuss today's economic concerns. Francisco Colayco, Chairman of the Colayco Foundation of Education, will do a fearless forecast of the growing economy. The mass media sector will also be given the floor specifically to discuss how to access world market through mass media.

The Information Technology (IT) sector, one of the booming industries in the country, has a very significant partnership with the SMEs. Industry players believe that they can further boost SMEs through IT Business solutions.

The second day of the conference will also showcase discussions on the real property sector, expanding trade and business opportunities with the US, launching of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) business summit, emerging prospects for medical tourism, enhancing employer-employee relations, and how to further finance the needs of the SMEs.

The 14th MMBC is the fourth of five regional Area Business Conferences organized by Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), the largest business organization in the country. The last series of the Area Business Conference will be held in Zamboanga on Aug. 31 to Sept. 2 2006, conclude with the holding of the 32nd Philippine Business Conference (PBC) at the Manila Hotel on Oct. 16 to 20, 2006.
