San Juan High rules cage tilt eliminations

SAN Juan National High School routed Aquinas School, 72-46, to sweep the elimination round of the fifth San Juan Inter-High School basketball tournament at the San Juan Gym.

It was the sixth win in as many games by San Juan which will also face the same Aquinas School squad in the semifinal round. San Juan enjoys a twice-to-beat advantage.

Xavier School also made short work of St. John Academy, 79-48, to close out its sked with a 5-1 card for second spot. The Stallions, also enjoying a twice-to-beat edge, takes on Philippine Cheng Kuang High in the semis of the tournament organized by former sports commissioner now San Juan Vice Mayor Leonardo "Boy" Celles.

Philippine Chen Kuang ended up third with a 4-2 record after blasting Fountain International School, 67-54.
