Saturday, January 27, 2007 Filipino-Korean darts tilt set on Saturday
FILIPINO-Korean friendship will be showcased in the staging of the Seoul International Darts-League (SIDL)-Manila Invitational Classified doubles tournament at 8 p.m. on Saturday at the Daungan Restaurant located along Mother Ignacia Street in Quezon City.
The tournament, which offers a guaranteed prize of P6,000, is organized by Michael "Petro" Petrucelli, president of the Seoul International Darts League (www.seouldarts.net).
The format of the tournament is 501 best-of-three for the winner's bracket and 701 double knockout. Entry fee is P100 per player. An add-on to the tournament is the staging of Daungan Bikini Babes by the pool.
The SIDL is a long-running tournament in Itaewon, Korea. In fact, some bars in the area bear plaques of winning teams that date back 20 or so years back. The SIDL has players from all over the world and is made up of core players with others moving in and out of their teams as they arrive in the republic of Korea.
