AFTER adjusting their prices just last week by 50 centavos, oil companies implemented again the same amount of increase in the pump prices of their petroleum products and in their liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) after the price of crude oil in the world went up recently.
Petron Corporation and Total Philippines Corp. (TPC) said they raised the prices of their gasoline, kerosene and diesel products by 50 centavos per liter on Saturday while the cost of their LPG products will be adjusted upwards by 50 centavos per kilogram effective Sunday.
Latest oil price monitoring of the Department of Energy indicated that unleaded gasoline w/AVSRA range from P35.73 to P38. 70 per liter, kerosene with P34.65 to P38.70 per liter, diesel with P30.87 to P34.15 and LPG (11kg cylinder) at P449.64 to P515.00.
Other oil companies such as Pilipinas Shell, Caltex as well other small oil players are also expected to increase the prices of their gas products soon. (MSN/Sunnex)
