SMALL and medium enterprises get the limelight once again as the annual celebration of the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Development Week is held in July, pursuant to the Presidential Proclamation 256. At the Megatrade Halls 1 and 2 of SM Megamall, there will be an exposition of business development service (BDS) providers from both government and private sector, the conduct of free entrepreneurship briefing sessions, launching of new SME development initiatives, and the awarding of "Best Practice Awards" for programs and services for SMEs from July 19 to 22.
Other related activities will also be undertaken in different parts of the country as other government agencies and private institutions are enjoined to participate in the commemoration of SME Development Week.
