Manny Geslani, recruitment consultant for Jerphi Overseas Placement and Trading Corporation, said aside from TGIF, other restaurants have signed a contract with the agency for the hiring of waiters.

Interested experienced waiters are welcome to apply. They should have at least one year exposure in quality restaurant chains; at least 21 years old; at least a high school graduate; and can write and speak English fluently, Geslani said.

Workers will receive a starting salary of US$215 monthly plus overtime pay, tips, service charge, free food and accommodation, including other regular benefits provided under Malaysian laws.

Malaysia also needs 100 cleaners or gardeners, 50 electronic technicians. Applicants for the jobs can either be male or female and not more than 35 years old.

Professional positions like architects, architectural draftspersons (male or female), quantity surveyors, mechanical engineers, automotive electrical engineers and air-conditioning, pump and machine technicians, machinists and plastic molders are open to all applicants who have experience and qualifications for the above positions.

Those interested in the job openings mentioned above can personally apply at the offices of Jerphi at Suite 219, Aurora Plaza in Ermita, Manila and submit a National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) clearance, job certification, transcript of records, passport and passport size colored pictures.
