Saturday, April 05, 2008 PAL cuts fares for China, 3 other Asian countries
FLAG carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) has slashed its fares in three favorite destinations in Southeast Asia and China as part of its summer promo to its regular passengers.
Round-trip fares for Singapore and Bangkok have been reduced to US$115, which will end on April 30 while for Jakarta is now only US$88 (for travel until November 30).
"All fares are applicable only on PAL's newly introduced late-night flights to the three points, which are among the most popular tourist destinations in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean)," PAL said in a statement.
The new frequencies were recently added to PAL's summer timetable, which boasts augmented services to most major international and domestic points.
The US$115 round-trip promo fare is valid on the following flights; PR 505, which departs Manila everyday at 7:35 p.m. and arrives in Singapore at 11:15 p.m., and PR 506, which departs Singapore at 12:15 a.m. and arrives back in Manila at 4 a.m.; and PR 732, which departs Manila every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 7:30 p.m. and arrives in Bangkok at 9:50 p.m., and PR 733, which departs Bangkok on the same days at 11:10 p.m. and arrives back in Manila at 3:40 a.m. the following day.
Meanwhile, the US$88 round-trip special fare between Manila and Jakarta covers the following flights; PR 535, which departs Manila every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday at 9 p.m. and arrives in Jakarta at midnight; and the return service, PR 536, which departs Jakarta every Wednesday, Saturday and Monday at 12:50 a.m. and arrives in Manila at 5:45 a.m.
