Wednesday, April 16, 2008 Another showbiz couple set to part ways
LONG-time partner Anjo Yllana and Jackie Manzano have decided to put an end to their relationship and file a case for divorce due to “irreconcilable differences”.
Anjo, in an interview, clarified that there is no third party involved in their decision to split up describing their marriage in a rocky situation for the past few years.
Anjo and Jackie have been in a relationship for 13 years. Jackie recently gave birth to their fourth son in San Francisco when she was also diagnosed with heart ailment. In all the interviews with Anjo during those times, he always showed and expressed support to his wife.
There were also many rumors afflicting their relationship saying they will be splitting up, however, they had consistently denied such.
It was said in the interview that the break-up of the two was considered a friendly separation and that they had remained friends and had also compromised the matters regarding the custody of their four children.
Anjo and Jackie were co-stars in 1996 movie “Milyonaryong Mini” same year when they decided to tie the knot in Las Vegas where the couple also will soon to file a case for divorce.
Anjo started his showbiz career in 1984 as a talent of prominent manager Douglas Quijano.
Quijano, for his part, said the age gap of the couple which is 13 years might also be one of the factors why the two are having difficulty understanding each other.
Anjo became a famous comedian in a sitcom Abangan ang Susunod na Kabanata in ABS-CBN.
He is now a visible in some of GMA 7 network’s shows, namely, Eat Bulaga and Nuts Entertainment. (JRDB/Sunnex)
