Caparas reigns on RP televisions

RENOWNED director Carlo J. Caparas captured the charm of Filipinos as his masterpieces reign on Philippine televisions today.

Among Caparas top rating works are Joaquin Bordado, Kamandag and the newest GMA 7 magical “telepantasya” show Tasya Fantasya.

This director is exceptional in exciting the minds and tastes of the masses following the record-breaking triumphs of the shows in the said network.

Caparas is considered as one of the country’s outstanding achievers and artists. He is one of the directors that first introduced Filipino superheroes and comic characters in comic books as he also directed and produced films of different genres.

A press release said Caparas’ creations rule the primetime block of GMA 7. Joaquin Bordado which premiered on February 11 impressively garnered a 36.6 percent rating. This is Robin Padilla’s second collaboration with the network after Asian Treasures. It consistently tops the ratings with its action-packed scenes and real-life drama adventures.

Richard Gutierrez’s Kamandag, a popular comic strip of Caparas in the early 1980s, also debuted strong last year with a 42.7 percent performance in the primetime block. Without fail, the show continuously maintains high ratings on its weeknights airing.

Caparas’ 1994 movie, Tasya Fantasya, is expected to commence its airing on GMA 7 which include Yasmien Kurdi and Rainier Castillo as main cast.

Caparas’ style for fantasy and romantic-comedy flicks is reflected to the television adaptation of Tasya.

He is also the creator of the successful drama show -- Bakekang; portrayed by actress Sunshine Dizon’s which showed her acting competence that ushered her more projects from the network.

Caparas’ rags-to-riches life is truly an inspiration to all. His flair and passion for writing maneuvered him to create triumphant and outstanding works for the country.
