Based on GMA website news, about 300 people had opportunity to enter and view the place of the singer as she mentioned some of her celebrity friends such as Kuh Ledesma with daughter Isabella, Jaya and her whole family, Mikee Cojuanco, Ai-Ai delas Alas, Tony Tuviera of APT Productions and Tape, Inc., Marian Rivera and her close friend free spirited and brilliant director Joyce Bernal.
The day would not be complete without her boyfriend Ogie Alcasid who arrived together with his family.
Also present in her birthday special, as special guests, were Jay-Ar and Kyla.
According to Regine, she also suggested views on how her birthday special should work aside from the point of view of avant-garde director Louie Ignacio.
The actress, in her interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), said the list of songs that he had sung was different from what she did on her past concerts.
Regine and Ogie sang "Falling Slowly," which is a theme song of "Once", one of the award winning films in Oscars.
She also rendered an Italian song for the first time entitled "Per Te", which is a song from the album of Josh Groban.
Also present in her repertoire were "Bubbly" by Colbie Calliat, "Hotel California" by the Eagles and Kenny Loggins's "Footloose". She also sang the theme song of the first Filipino animation movie -- "Urduja".
Regine is also preparing for her new musical show dubbed Songbird Sings that will start on May 15.
She is also portraying the role of Kim Sam Soon in a romantic comedy series from Korea -- "My Name Is Kim Sam Soon". She will be teamed up with young actors like Mark Anthony Fernandez and Wendell Ramos in this local remake of Koreanovelas. (JRDB/Sunnex)
