'Kapitan Boom' soon on ABS-CBN

ABS-CBN has given Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) celebrity edition housemate Jon Avila a big break as he performs the role of "Kapitan Boom", which is also one of the illustrious comic superhero of Mars Ravelo.

During the mall tour of the show, a huge crowd of fans from different places warmly accepted and watched the program of the cast of the newest bombastic fantasy series show, which will set off on Saturday.

Kapitan Boom is well known for his funny and clumsy acts but despite his fumbling character he is a superhero with a heart of gold and always alert and vigilant to help those in need.

Included in the cast are Thou Reyes who will play as Bukol, best friend of Lance, the alter ego of Kapitan Boom played by Pinoy Dream Academy scholar Jay-R Siaboc; and newbie Marianna del Rillo who will be Cheska, who is the best friend of Melody who will be played by teen dancer-actress Maja Salvador.

At the tour, Siaboc sang the theme song of the series entitled "Hari ng Sablay".

Although, Avila is new in the industry, he already has tons of fans and supporters. Wearing his red and blue costume, the audience immediately recognized their favorite superhero, who elicited screams and cheers.

For the preparation of the show, Avila said he is serious in doing his role as he, every now and then, observe and imitate how Siaboc moves around because they acting as one in the show Siaboc being the alter ego of Kapitan Boom.

The Irish actor is also busy in working with his accent by attending workshops and frequently speaking, listening and viewing Filipino movies.

Meanwhile, Brazilian model Marianna, who is also a new face in show business, is determined to prove that she has a talent and future in the acting field. The 17-year-old model, on the other hand, brushed off past controversies that she had involving Cesar Montano and Sam Milby. (JRDB/Sunnex)
