PBA cagers visit Big Brother house

KNOWN as a "gentle giant" in the house of Big Brother, Jolas Paguia received an advanced birthday surprise last Thursday when his idols from the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) James Yap and Peter Simon visited him inside the house.

The two skilled and prominent players of the basketball league had played hoops with the birthday celebrant and his father.

In a press statement, Big Brother had a twist in letting Paguia played with the two professional players. If the father and son win, there will be a guaranteed birthday celebration for Paguia.

Spanish Stallion Kevin Flood's father John was acted as a referee during the game.

Meanwhile, the rest of the housemates except Kevin and Alex Anselmuccio got the chance to meet the two cagers when they went inside the main house for refreshments during halftime.

At the end of the game, Yap and Simon proved that they are not professional basketball players for nothing, as they were declared the winners of the game, with a final score of 78-69.

The teen celebrant, however, has no regrets at all and still felt happy for having been given the chance to play with two noted PBA players. He also received a jersey from Yap and some words of advice.

But it is still unknown if Big Brother will still throw a birthday party for the teen.

In a related story, the 13 remaining teen housemates last Thursday also let all their feelings and views out in an open forum initiated by Kevin.

Kevin gathered all the teens to participate in an open forum hoping to settle all conflicts they have with each other primarily the effects of his father's problems with other housemates' parents and his friendship with Josef Elizalde.

The open forum proved to be an effective means of discussing the issue regarding the clashing guardians but several other concerns including some of the housemates' lack of initiative in doing household chores was raised between Paguia and Kevin again.

"Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition" is aired everyday in the primetime show of ABS-CBN. (JRDB/Sunnex)
