Actress downplays co-stars' comment

"I CAN'T please anybody," was how young sexy actress Katrina Halili answered the issue with her co-star Iwa Moto, who allegedly doubted the competency of the actress to carry out a compassionate role in her new television series "Magdusa Ka".

Halili said she couldn't convince everybody that she can also perform gentle and good roles because she has been doing "kontrabida" (villain) roles in her past shows.

In an earlier interview, Moto said many people still associate Halili with her dreadful role in Marimar and they might not easily adopt on Halili's new sympathetic role.

She added that Halili is an effective "kontrabida".

But Moto quickly clarified that some people might misinterpret what she said, saying she has no doubt with the actress' talent.

Both actresses also said they are close friends. Halili even said that she treats Moto as her sister.

Moto meantime pleaded newsmongers not to ruin her friendship with Halili, saying she has no bad intentions at all when she was asked about her comment.

She added that if she really does not like a person, she will candidly say it.

Halili downplays rumors linking her with Paolo Paraiso, Bullet Jalosjos and Andrew Schimmer. She said she has no love life at the moment but smilingly said that she has a textmate.

Halili starred in GMA 7 new show Magdusa Ka, which is set to start on May 12. (JRDB/Sunnex)
