Tuesday, April 29, 2008 'Dyesebel' main stars take hot seat
IN A never before seen circumstance in television, actor Dingdong Dantes seated in a lie detector machine as he took the hot seat, while actress Marian Rivera asked him questions in relation to their last shooting of the first ever adaptation of "Dyesebel" in television.
When Marian asked if he really got carried away with his last kissing scene in their last episode, the actor said, "Yes" making the crowd of the show gone wild.
The lie detector agreed as Dingdong explained that it is normal to be carried away because it was the final episode for Sergio and it was the much-awaited moment of the series.
Marian said she knows her partner and "I know what he feels, I know if he is sad, if he is happy and I know how he feels during that time."
Dingdong admitted that he really concentrated on enhancing and working out for his more firm and well shape body than his last soap to impress the actress.
"Of course, I should also impress her because I know that she also work hard for her role so as I. So, I see to it that in everything we are at par that's why I also want to be at good shape for her," he said.
Marian asked if the actor is worried and concerned for her when she was doing underwater scenes. Dingdong immediately said yes adding that it is normal for him to be concerned if anything bad would happen to her leading lady.
The young actress also revealed that the deepest that she swam was about 40 feet.
For the third question, Marian asked if his leading man is jealous if somebody is courting her. Dingdong answered "no", but the machine did not agree prompting Marian to do the dance number of host John Lapus.
The actor refused to explain further, the only words that the actor had said was that: "For me, 'Dyesebel' is only for Fredo."
Finally for the last question, Dingdong confessed that among her leading ladies, he has given extra sweetness and care to Marian.
He did not deny that he hugged Marian for 15 minutes during her last underwater scene when the actress cried because of the difficulty of the scenes.
"For that scene I witnessed the struggle of Marian as she has stayed underwater from morning till sundown and that time she's really exhausted and tired doing the scenes that's why she really deserves the right comfort and we are all there to support and comfort her. And being the closest to Marian so that's why (I comfort her)," the actor ended. (JRDB/Sunnex)
