WITH her decision to transfer to GMA-7, Heart Evangelista is confronting with another issue that she and boyfriend Jericho Rosales already broke up.
Heart had reconciled with her parents, admitting in a television interview that she is now back at his parents' care as they again manage her new career at GMA-7.
When asked if Jericho is the reason that she had a misunderstanding and gap with her parents, she said "I admit that I go against my parents at that time, you know it's a transition I am maturing and stuff. And during that time my boyfriend is Jericho. And so it was hard for them to accept that I already have a boyfriend and stuff but he is not the reason of our disagreement."
"They (parents) cannot accept that I want to be independent and our fight is really worst that we even have not seen each other for three years. I have not seen my dad and that is why now I am doing everything to make my parents happy and to compensate for all the wrong things that have done to them. You know if my family is happy I am happy that's what I think now," she added.
The young witty actress said there were times that she tried to contact her parents but they repeatedly hanged up the phone. But there was a time that when she woke up, she decided to go to her father and settle things out.
"From lunch time until 10 p.m., my dad only does (acting like reprimanding her). But it's okay, I deserved it," she said.
When asked what she learned about her past experience, she said: "You know as teenagers sometimes you'd feel going against your parents but they only want what's best for you. I mean with my dad, I felt that so much time was wasted and when I saw my dad, I felt sad for the times that I am not with him during my birthdays; but I am so happy that we are okay now."
During Heart's interview last Saturday, she denied reports that she admitted to her friends that she had broke-up with Jericho, saying: "I do not say such things in public. Something so private like that I think I keep it to myself if it were true, but it's not true."
She also denied that they are cool off. She said everything in their life is starting to happen again. Jericho is doing a Hollywood movie and an international soap opera in Malaysia at present.
"This is the time we need to give time with ourselves and we need to do first now our priorities. Well, he is also included in my priorities and what's good is that at the end of the day we're okay," the actress said.
Meanwhile, when asked if she and Jericho really split up, she said: "You know Jericho is in Malaysia he is very busy I am here in the Philippines, I am also busy. I am going to do with soap with Richard right now we are just doing our own things. We are busy with our own careers now if we are destined to meet each other when he comes back we will see. I think he will still stay there for more than two months. And when he comes back he still busy with his career here so am I and we will see if we will meet each other again, if ever we won't see each other well we will just missed each other. For me, it's career first for now," Heart explained.
The young actress also clarified that she has no bad blood with her previous manager Angeli Panglinan-Valenciano of Genesis.
She said she still close to her Tita Angeli and she treated her as her mother. She added that it was not hard for her to let go because Angeli knows that there will come a time that Heart and her parents will again kiss and make up that's why her manager did not let her sign any contract for Genesis.
"They were just nice to help at that time that I needed people by my side and that's why now they did not let me sign contract from them because they know time will come that my parents and I will reunite and they will also be the one to handle my career," she said.
"You know with Genesis we work as a team I don't want anybody to think about Genesis. They have handled my career the best that they could. They did everything for me. People would say whatever they want to say the important thing is that Tita Angeli and I were okay. I don't want anybody to put malice with Tita Angelie did for me because she did a good job she took care of me very well and I am very grateful for that," the actress further explained.
"I also want to clear this out I am very grateful to ABS. I have been with them all my life, it's just you know there's a time in your life when it's time for you to move on, work with the new people and of course the offers is really like wow," she added.
Heart said she had become 10 years older during the time she left her home that is why she promised that "before I react to anything now I will understand first as I learned my lesson and I went through a lot. But I know they want what's best for me and I will understand even if it's hard I will understand."
For her part, Cecilia Ongpauco (Heart's mother) said: "I am really so excited for Heart and I prayed for Heart her new start with a new family will make all god things happen for you and your career as I told you the Lord can and he will."
When asked about her relationship with her daughter, she said: "Much better. I think that she matured a lot and I am happy about that and I am confident she has a good head on her shoulders and that she will be fine."
Cecilia was also glad to hear her daughter saying whatever her parents what her to do she will do it. "Just like I said the Lord can and He will. Beautiful things happen to your life now this is just the start," the actress' mother ended.
Heart said as a message to her parents: "Mom and dad thank you so much for forgiving me for putting good things in my head, for bringing me up well. I owe everything to you the way I speak, the way I dressed up, the way I think, the way I choose things in my life, it's all because of you guys brought me up well. Thank you so much you're always there for me and I hope this time around we are all be happy. I love you very much."
Meanwhile, other Kapuso artists like Dennis Trillo, Rhian Ramos, Pauleen Luna, Julia Clarete, Paolo Paraiso and Richard Gutierrez welcomed their new co-artist in the network.
Heart was also surprised when Richard, her leading man in her new series "Asero", welcomed her in person.
The actor said they have not seen each other for two years now.
Heart surprisingly said: "It is so weird. We come from different worlds." Her co-actor said it is impossible indeed but "now it come to reality."
"I am very excited I don't know what to expect but I know all good things that they store for me and I know people are really nice here and I will be taken care off," the actress stated.
Heart thanked all the people around her as she was overwhelmed by the warm welcome that the station had been giving her. (JRDB/Sunnex)
