Tuesday, April 29, 2008 Richard to remain with GMA-7
TO END rumors that actor Richard Gutierrez is transferring to other network, the young good-looking actor had renewed a two-year contract with his current network GMA-7.
Gutierrez said he is just waiting for the right timing and the perfect moment to answer all the issues regarding his alleged transfer.
"I am just ignoring rumors and I am also waiting for this moment to answer all the intrigues and this (renewing of contract) is my answer to all those (rumors)," he said.
In an earlier report in the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), Gutierrez's mother Annabelle Rama admitted that she considered transferring Richard to ABS-CBN because she wanted her son to do a project with KC Concepcion who is a talent of the said network.
However, majority of the members of Gutierrez family did not agree to the actor's transfer.
"I have the best bosses here in GMA-7. All of them treated me well and I cannot ask for anything more. I grew up here and I love the people here, so I cannot see myself working for any other bosses," Richard said.
GMA-7 president Felipe Gozon said: "We are very happy that Richard had again renewed his contract with us because we consider Richard if not the best, one of the best artists in GMA-7. And all the programs that he has done with us had earned very high ratings."
GMA executive vice president and chief operating officer Gilberto Duavit Jr. said: "People are happy that Richard is still a certified Kapuso right from the beginning and it is good to witness his challenges and hard-work in dealing such, what he is renewing formally is contract and of course something that makes us all very happy. We are thanking him and his family for their trust."
Richard renewed his contact last April 25 that was witnessed by GMA executives Gozon, Duavit, and Wilma Galvante together with Rama, who manages her son.
After doing "Kamandag", Richard will start shooting his new series entitled "Asero" with the newest talent of GMA-7 -- Heart Evangelista.
They revealed that they would do their first week of shooting in Dubai.
Richard is also the host of the newest environmental documentary of GMA News and Public Affairs dubbed "Signos". (JRDB/Sunnex)
