'High School Musical' on ice

THE chart topping music of "High School Musical" will soon be glancing on ice as the cast of world-class skaters portray the roles of the much-loved students from East High, namely Troy, Gabriella, Ryan, Sharpay, Chad and Taylor.

At the website of Disney on Ice Asia, it was announced that Disney's "High School Musical" skaters will be performing their moves on their ice tour on July 11 to 29 at Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.

The ice tour, which is a one-hour 45-minute production, features hit tunes and signature choreography from the sensational movies High School Musical and High School Musical 2.

The music and the dance routines from the Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical and High School Musical 2 will be featured in the show.

"We've brought together a creative dream team that will deliver a top-notch production that celebrates moments from the movies in an ice spectacular that will fill arenas with lights, music, dancing and spirit," said producer Kenneth Feld posted on website.

Earlier, the Disney On Ice also performed at Araneta and one of the most frequently asked questions is that if the upcoming show is the same as the first show on ice.

The organizers of the show said it has some similarities but the production is different but still the audience could expect the same high-class performance.
