Billy Crawford to host ‘PDA Season 2’

ORIGINALLY, the hosting job was offered to television host Ryan Agoncillo, but as he turned down the offer due to its daily schedule, singer-dancer Billy Crawford accepted it as he is now the new host of “Pinoy Dream Academy (PDA) Season 2”.

Reports from yehey.com said the GMA-7 star decided to work with ABS-CBN because of the worldwide exposure that the “The Filipino Channel (TFC)” could give him.

It is known to all that the TFC reaches a large number of Filipino viewers abroad.

However, reports said Billy’s manager and adviser in the Philippines, German Moreno (Kuya Germs), was surprised by the singers’ negotiation with ABS-CBN.

Moreno has been known as the father figure of Billy as he was discovered by the talent manager and started with Kuya Germ’s afternoon television show “That’s Entertainment.”

Kuya Germs is also quite disappointed as he was allegedly the last one to know about the transfer of the singing icon.

Billy has been identified as a talent of GMA-7 but he worked as a freelancer and has no existing contract with the network.

He is a Filipino-American musician who became known around Europe and Asia with hit songs "Steamy Nights" and "Bright Lights".

The season two of the reality show PDA will be aired by the end of May.

Billy’s co host will be Toni Gonzaga and Nikki Gil, while Jim Paredes was replaced by Maestro Ryan Cayabyab as the new headmaster. (JRDB/Sunnex)
