Saturday, May 03, 2008 'Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho' to bring gut-see stories
THE magazine show of GMA-7 "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS)" will make Saturday dreary stories into out of ordinary ones to entertain and ensnare the interest of primetime audience.
In a press statement, KMJS will recount stories of Filipino achievers in the field of music, sports, and fashion. It also features the Dinengdeng Festival, odd stories of "runaway" grooms, and how rice crisis becomes a vehicle for prostitution.
The show relates the lives of Ramiele Malubay who is an "American Idol" ex-finalist and who became a favorite of international audience, and Madonna Decena who is still struggling for the title of "Britain's Got Talent 2008". Malubay and Decena are both Filipinos who received a standing ovation during their performances in their respective international television reality shows.
In sports, two Filipino pride Lance Feliciano who championed the recent drifting contest in America and Wesley So who is the youngest "chess grandmaster" in the world are also included in KMJS story list.
In fashion, Filipino woman named Tina Maristela-Ocampo is now setting the trend in Hollywood with her bag designs used by international stars like Drew Barrymore, Sandra Bullock, and Eva Longoria.
KMJS also visits Agoo, La Union annual Dinengdeng Festival, which is a celebration for Filipinos' fondness of vegetables flavored with bagoong.
It also presents the stories of grooms backing out on the last minute of their wedding. It will highlight the case of Ryan and Lilybeth, a couple who set their wedding on December 22 last year, however at the moment of their wedding the guy quitted and left.
In relation to this, KMJS flies to Marinduque as some bachelors in the province are said to be sensitive to marriage issues and opted to be single for a long time as they call their group as "Binata Hanggang Wakas".
The program also allots slot for today's "Magdalena" who bargains their flesh for kilos of rice, which is a sign that prostitution has now at its lowest form as payment comes in the country's most demanded commodity, as the press release said.
Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho is being aired every Saturday on GMA-7. (JRDB/Sunnex)
