ACTOR Gabby Eigenman shrugged off issues his sister Katherine "Ira" Eigenmann is facing for allegedly having nude photos posted on the Internet.
In an exclusive interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), Gabby said: "As much as possible, I don't want to comment anything about that issue." He said he has to protect her sister but he cannot stop the issue because it has been there already.
"For me, I don't want this to become big. With what has happened, we're all just here to support her. It is also not right to reject her because of that," he said.
He added that their family is behind Ira and they do not want to make a big deal out of it and there is no truth that their parents disown his sister.
The family of Gabby has been known in the entertainment world for years. He said as a successor, it is proper to protect their family's reputation in show business by staying away from troubles and controversies like what his sister is dealing with.
"If someone does something wrong, he should not be spoiled. However, there are some things that we want to discuss in private to protect our clan," he said.
"The family remains intact. That is our stand. Whatever happens, we should be intact in dealing with challenges. For us, what's happening with Katherine, it's really no big deal," he added.
Reports said Ira's ex-boyfriend allegedly took the pictures and posted them on the Internet.
Gabby and Ira are offspring of Mark Gil and actress Irene Celebre.
Ira appears in ABS-CBN afternoon drama series "Prinsesa ng Banyera" where she plays a teenage named Rosa.
Gabby, on the other hand, is included in the cast of the new GMA show "Magdusa Ka" with Katrina Halili and Dennis Trillo. (JRDB/Sunnex)
