WALT Disney Pictures film "Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour" conquered the big screen in a digital 3-dimension (3-D) format last week at The Block- SM (Shoe Mart) cinema.

The film is a live concert performance of the 15-year-old pop star Miley Stewart on her "Best of Both Worlds Tour" as Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus in Salt Lake City, Utah wherein video clips of the pre-production and rehearsals of the whole production team were inserted in a documentary-like film.

After every nerve-wrecking performance by the ultimate star Hannah Montana, the audience enjoyed behind the scenes footages and preparations of the teen star for her standing room only (SRO) concert.

Some live moments from the backstage that were seen in the movie were the voice warm-ups and grooming clips of the pop teen icon as she hastily transformed from Hannah Montana into Miley Cyrus.

The concert film has no correlation to its American television series "Hannah Montana" but still the two different fictional characters played by Miley in her series were the ultimate performers of the concert.

"Hannah Montana" is a television series that focuses a teenage girl's life having two personalities: being an ordinary student named Miley Stewart (Miley Cyrus) and a prominent pop singer named Hannah Montana. Nobody knows her secret aside from her family and friends.

The groundbreaking concert movie was presented by Disney Digital 3-D, directed by Bruce Hendricks and produced by Art Repola.

The concert tour was created and directed by Kenny Ortega, which was infrequently visible in the screen during the casts' rehearsal.

Using a 3-dimension glasses, the film was also a blockbuster hit in the US and Canada during its playdate last February 1 to 7. It also had its international opening in Mexico, Ecuador, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Brazil, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Europe, and Latin America, among others.

The exceptional performance of Miley as Hannah and Miley Cyrus was overwhelmed by the jam-packed concert of the teen pop rock star. The audience gone wild in every song Hannah rendered, such as Rock Star, Life's What You Make It, Just Like You, Nobody's Perfect, I Got Nerve.

While, the songs played by Miley Cyrus include Start All Over, See You Again, Let's Dance, I Miss You, G.N.O. (Girl's Night Out) and The Best of Both Worlds.

The Jonas Brothers also galvanized the audiences' excitement as they sang When You Look Me In The Eyes and Year 3000 as an interlude and being Miley's special guest on her concert.

In addition, the audiences enjoyed seeing Miley and her father singer Billy Ray Cyrus together in the big screen. The two have bonding moments in the movie and they touched the soft side of the audience as they both plucked the guitar strings in the rehearsal of Miley's performance of "I Miss You", which a song close to the teen star's heart as she personally written it in memory of her grandfather.

Reports said the film got positive critics and reviews and had reached a gross weekly income of US$31,117,834, bringing the film on the highest grossing post during its opening weekend. (JRDB/Sunnex)
