Sun.Star, Power Books ink for Cebu 2008 Yearbook market
By Jill D. Beltran

THE Cebu 2008 Yearbook could finally be seen on the racks of Power Books as Sun.Star assistant vice president for circulation Rene Besido and Power Books purchasing and marketing manager Vanessa Yu signed an agreement last Tuesday to carry and display the yearbook in all of Power Books branches.

The Cebu Yearbook, which is produced by the number one leading newspaper in Cebu -- Sun.Star Publishing -- is an annual inclusive account on economy, lifestyle, society and recognized personalities that embodies the Queen City of the South.

It is created in a glossy, coffee-table stylebook with vibrant photos of featured people and events complemented with texts written by some of the leading journalists in Cebu.

The 2008 edition features about 220 pages of the city's leadership, business, trade, culture, arts, lifestyle and tourism spots printed in a magazine format with a highly colorful and sophisticated packaging.

Most of the readers of the annual yearbook are industry leaders, national investors, local businessmen, foreign visitors, academe, and government leaders.

Last year, it became an official souvenir for the delegates of the Association of Southeast Asian Nation (Asean) summit.

At present, The Cebu Yearbook is available in National Bookstore Cebu and recently in some of its Manila branches. It is also available in Ayala Malls, Gaisano stores and other premium outlets.

Power Books, meanwhile, now displays and market the yearbook in all of the store's branches including Power Books Ermita Midtown, Power Books Glorietta, Power Books Trinoma, Power Books Shangri-la, Power Books Filinvest, Power Books Megamall, Power Books Alabang, and Power Books Greenbelt.
