Saturday, May 10, 2008 Jay-R stays in GMA: manager
R&B prince Jay-R's manager confirmed that his talent stays in GMA 7 network.
To end controversies of switching networks, Arnold Vegafria (Jay-R manager) in a Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) report said, he has no plan of transferring the singer to another network citing that Jay-R still has a contract with GMA until end of this year.
Vegafria added that the R&B prince even performed in last Sunday's SOP production numbers. The prince is also included in a newest segment of the show called "Standing Ovation" (formerly constellation of stars).
The past weeks, reports have been circulating that Jay-R's camp is planning to transfer the singer in ABS-CBN ASAP '08.
ASAP is the rival show of SOP. Both shows are aired every Sunday.
Reports also said the manager of Jay-R has been planning to move his star to ABS-CBN but that GMA 7 did not allow the singer to transfer.
There were also issues saying the singer will not renew his contract as it ends in June.
However, Vegafria settled rumors as he confirmed that Jay-R will stay in his mother network GMA-7.
Jay-R is one of the hottest bachelors in the entertainment industry today. He has been tagged as the Prince of R&B and has been rowed as 51st sexiest man in the Philippines last year.
He became popular as he was given a chance to become a regular performer in GMA Sunday noontime show SOP. (JRDB/Sunnex)
