Friday, May 16, 2008 Shy exits; new teen player enters PBB
IN A surprising twist of events last Monday morning, House Player ng Bayan Shy decided to leave Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) house.
Triggered by many factors aggravated by the strict military training Captain Cecilia Bernabe and her team brought in with them, Shy decided to leave the house.
Following the rigidity of the military training, Shy went to the confession room to talk to Big Brother.
She expressed her intention of leaving the house, as she could not give her best to Big Brother’s tasks anymore. Big Brother tried to sway her to reconsider but she was firm in her decision.
The next day, Tuesday, new House Player ng Bayan Mikan Ong entered the house to carry on with the task of helping Jaclyn Jose’s daughter Andi with the tasks from the people. The big teen with a big heart is very much ready to add some big love to the house.
The teen housemates, who left inside the country’s most famous house, together with House Players Shy and Andi, were stirred in their sleep with a military wake-up call Monday morning.
Military officers from the 505th Search and Rescue Group of the Philippine Air Force, headed by Bernabe, startled the teens inside the PBB House where a boot camp was held.
The boot camp consisted of several exercises, tasks, and survival training where the teens learned how to catch and grill fish, start a fire, and cook rice. What they don’t know is that the rigid military training is a preparation for their island adventure next week.
Merits and demerits were also given to the teens, a part to the weekly task of accumulating at least 100 merits by the end of the week. Big Brother gave a leeway as the teens have a base of 50 merits.
The teens didn’t have to wager a percentage of their weekly budget because this is an all-or-nothing task.
Meanwhile, the viewers have spoken and the House Players’ first task is in: Andi and new House Player ng Bayan Mikan had been dictated by the people to plague teen housemate True Blue Atenean Robi Domingo with their clumsiness.
During the live special Sunday night, viewers were made to choose who among Italian Valentino Alex Anselmuccio Jr., Kengkoy Nan Clenuar, Robi, and Promdie Hottie Ejay Falcon would they want to be the victim of the House Players’ clumsiness.
Robi got the majority of the text votes (50.94 percent) followed by Nan (20.48 percent), Ejay (16.36 percent), and Alex (12.27 percent).
Big Brother laid down three conditions for the two last Tuesday. Andi has to spill a whole cup of coffee on Robi’s back and spew out any drink on his face while Mikan has to step on Robi’s feet.
Just like the previous week, five tasks will be given to the House Players but this time, each successful task is equivalent to P20,000.
By the end of this week, another lucky texter will be rewarded with half of the pot money the House Players will be able to accumulate.
Meanwhile, the two House Players’ second task had been finalized during Tuesday’s Uber episode. Based on the text votes, Andi and Mikan have to make Ejay happy. Ejay got the highest percentage of text votes (31.77 percent) followed by Dazzling Doll Valerie Weignmann (30.17 percent), Alex (23.77 percent), and Deaf Dreamer Priscilla Navidad (14.29 percent).
On related stories, the five Guardians left inside the PBB house competed in Big Brother’s Guardian of the Night Pageant held last Monday night.
The pageant was organized by the teens inside the house whose Guardians had already left. The five remaining Guardians were assisted by their respective teens, just like any other pageant, the Guardian of the Night consisted of a modeling segment, a talent portion, and two rounds of interviews.
Prisoner’s Daughter Rona Libby and Priscilla were the hosts of the pageant while Valerie, Ejay, Robi, and Andi sat as judges.
Ejay’s Daddy Erning was proclaimed Best in Talent, Nicole’s Mommy Sandy was Best In Casual Wear, Beauty’s Mommy Carina was Best Interview, Nan’s Mommy My Love Most Transformed, and the winner of the pageant was Alex’s Mommy Minda.
Aside from the pageant, the Guardians and their respective teens were also tasked to come up with a tandem number that they would present by the end of the week. They would also be given enough time per day to rehearse.
All these activities are in preparation for the Guardians’ big Night that is all set to happen on Sunday night where P100,000, P150,000, P250,000, and P500,000 would be awarded to the winners, respectively. (Press release)
