Dennis' parents seek more time with grandson

ON THE 29th birthday of actor Dennis Trillo which he celebrated with his devoted fans on May 12, the actor's parents appealed to Carlene Aguilar (mother of Dennis' child) if they could spend longer time with their grandson Calix Andreas.

"We are requesting from her (Carlene) more time for us to see our grandson so that he could recognize us. If we see him that seldom, he won't get acquainted with us. And the last time that he saw us, he cried coz he's in the stage of nangingilala (familiarization)," Dennis' father pleaded in a television interview.

"I hope we could often go to see our grandson and he will grow up as a loving child," said Florita, mother of Dennis.

But for Dennis, he chose not to rush things as he still considers what happened to his relationship with Carlene in the past. "We will take it one at a time. I also want them to be happy and I still need more time to iron things out," he said.

Dennis' family hoped that both Dennis and Carlene would raise their child with proper guidance to be upright.

Meanwhile, Carlene said she is open to give ample time for Dennis' family in visiting Calix.

"Yes, he's really 'nangingilala'. Usually when I bring him in Dennis' condo, he often cried but what we need is just a little warm-up, I think it will be okay after that," the beauty queen said.

She likewise welcomed Dennis' family to regularly see their grandson anytime at their house just by informing her ahead as her parents appreciates it also.

On the other hand, Carlene brushed off issues that she already has a new boyfriend.

"No. Friends and date only. I am just enjoying life," she said.

When asked if there is still chance for reconciliation, she said: "Not now. I can't say there's no chance at all but not at this moment. We still have to settle a lot of matters with his family and all. So, as Dennis said, we are dealing with it one at a time."

On the actors' birthday, most of his true and loyal fans were overwhelmed by the different kind of celebration he did.

According to Dennis, his party was one "gesture" of showing thanks and gratitude for long-term support and encouragement from his fans.

"I hope he would gain new energy and enthusiasm in doing his work," Popoy Caritativo said as a message for his talent.

Dennis' family still wishes for happiness and more projects for the actor.

"I hope all the blessings will continue to come, maintain my good career and good health for my family and myself," Dennis simply wished for his birthday. (JRDB/Sunnex)
