THE Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB) has given the first-ever Filipino full-length digital and animation film "Urduja" an "A" rating, meriting a 100-percent rebate on amusement tax.
The film's creative consultant, Mike Tuviera, happily shared that CEB members were delighted and gave a grade "A" for the film as they reviewed it last Tuesday.
Tuviera said: "For the first time all 21 members of the CEB convened to watch the animated film."
According to him, the film is very educational, and shows some notable Filipino cultures and traditions.
"We're very happy and very proud of our work. And we hope that all the people that will watch the film will enjoy," he said.
"Urduja", which is created and produced purely by Filipino animators, officially opened in theaters last Wednesday.
Some of the star-studded voices that gave life to the characters were Regine Velasquez as Urduja, Cesar Montano as Lim Hang, Eddie Garcia as Lakanpati, Johnny Delgado as Wang, Jay Manalo as Simakwel, Michael V as Kukut the rat, Allan K as Tarsir, Ruby Rodriguez as Mayumi, and Epi Quizon as Daisuke.
